So! This week has been great! Last weekend kicked off with pre-Vday baking (with my aunt), and above are all the goodies we made. From left, a giant cookie, brownie, and my chocolate cakes w/raspberry in between the two layers. Last weekend we also spent an evening with Steph and Cale, made some YUMMY pizzas...but Steph already blogged about it so you can read there :) I also made some delicious cookies this week - my aunt sent me a recipe that was supposed to be the famous Smith's cookie recipe, so I tried that out. They did resemble them but I was told they were much better! Hey, i didn't say it..hehe. But i'm willing to share!

Also, a Happy Valentine's Day to everyone...even thought we don't really go all out buying presents or anything it's still fun to spend extra time with the people you love. Chris and I stayed home and cooked a "gourmet" meal together, and it turned out fantabulous. Is that a word? See pics below: a oyster/artichoke/spinach thing with champagne cream, blue cheese crusted filet mignion, and molten chocolate cakes. Needless to say I was in a food coma afterwards.

So other than delicious food and sweets, nothing out of the ordinary. This week of work was really slow for me, just quiet and not a whole lot going on...but it went fast. Anyone watch American Idol? I've never watched it this month, but I have caught every episode so far...I like the Australian guy and the Irish girl, go figure? Well we are headed up to our cabin in the morning - yay for 3 day weekends, not sure how long we'll stay (it gets a tad bit boring there when it's this cold but I heard it's supposed to be relatively nice). I am happy to take Chris' car on it's first long trip :) I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!!!

okay yummy. I could see a food coma resulting from that though. :)

wow, that's impressive! What a meal. It is so fun to really cook gourmet from time to time. And it looks like you happen to do a really great job of it.
We watch American Idol... I shamelessly like it. :) The Australian guy is the best, and I think my favorite girl is the really curly-haired blonde one. It's fun!
Have a fun little trip. It sounds lovely.
