Confessions

I. Am. Lazy.

It may not seem like it to someone else, but I feel overly-lazy, pretty much all the time. Sometimes I think my Laziness is bipolar (
yes, the Lazy me, not the me me!). For example, most days I try to walk the dog during lunch (if I go home), right after work, and once again later in the evening. Yet, at the same time, there's 3 piles of clean laundry sitting on the bed, dirty dishes all over the kitchen, a horrifically messy craft room, and a seemingly unkept front and back yard. Dirty floors, bathrooms, etc, etc, etc.

And yet, after I get home from working...after cooking dinner (okay, I actually cook most of the time..I guess I should give myself a little credit. But I am too lazy to clean up the mess!), I somehow use my spare time to watch my favorite tv shows, play games, and b.s. on the computer.

Can you imagine if I were to have kids right now??? Gees. Maybe I need some type of motivation. I was thinking a few days ago, that if I just invited people over every day - my house and life would be a lot more cleaner/organized. OR, would I just throw everything in the mess of a craft room? I don't even have room to my crafts in my craft room. A few weeks ago Steph came over and we make a baby quilt, the sewing machine & supplies are still. sitting. on. the. dining. table!!!!! Because I was totally going to start a few other sewing projects. I swear.

Whew. Glad I got that all out. I hope I made you all feel better about yourselves. Motivation secrets, anyone?

I am the same exact way so I apologize that I will not be able to offer any advice (what so ever). I worry about what it would be like with kids as well, like sometimes when I forget to eat dinner but I am hoping that with kids you are forced into being organized and responsible, right? :)

Oh guuuurl. I totally understand. It does get worse when you have kids, BEWARE. I haven't cleaned our back bathroom in almost 2 months. SICK.

I absolutely love the baby quilt by the way. :)

Ughhhhghghghghg, this has so been my life the past month. I cannot wait to get back to school.

I don't do anything all day, yet I have no motivation. I'm sorry, I wish I could offer you some advice!

Ugghghg. I am SO lazy as well. And then John starts cleaning everything and I feel guilty for doing nothing while he cleans up the whole house. Or when I try to do my part I move soooooo slow cuz I'm so lazy and cleaning is so boring. Man, I don't even want to think about having kids! I can't handle it already!

my motivation? a raging case of OCD. i would be scared if i had kids, i'm already so flipping neurotic. (seriously, ask steve. i can't fall asleep if there are dishes in the sink.)

you're young, go with the laziness while you still can! xoxo

Eeek, since you don't have xanga. . . I forget to check on your blog, until I get a comment from you. . . then it reminds me that yes you still do blog. Very much so! So then I come here and have a lot of catching up to do :)
I guess you pick your poison. I am very good about cleaning and keeping a clean house, because I can't stand a messy one. But you won't find me crafting and cooking like you do! I mean I do the occasional craft project by making some cards, and I cook dinner here and there. But you do those things A LOT. So where you're good in one or two areas, other areas might suffer. You just have to prioritize and decide which chores and projects are most important to you. Also, which are important to Chris. Since you guys do live together, it wouldn't be a bad idea to share some of the chores. You take 2 or 3, he takes 2 or 3. Then stuff might actually get done. Hope that makes sense!

I am so exactly like you. Don't feel bad. You should enjoy yourself BEFORE any babies get into the mix. So, leave the dishes and BS on the internet! It's way more fun!

Yeah umm I clean, but cooking.. not so much. Plus on the nights I work late, I do absolutely nothing the second I get home. So no words of wisdom over here. Sorry! lol!
