Books, they make you smart. Or something.

I used to read a lot when I was younger. Not so much when the high school and college days rolled around, and now I just find myself skimming through Real Simple and reading blogs. Some twittering about The Babysitter's Club books kind of got me thinking about my favorite childhood books. Here are some of my favorites:

Ohh, that was fun! What were some of your favorties? :)

omg, i loved all of these!!! I wasn't allowed to read Goosebumps books, like I was forbidden. SO I would sneak them from the school library without checking them out (b/c my mom could check my records) and then read them at home and hide them in this stack of sweatshirts in my closets. LOL! Then when I was done I would sneak them back into the school library! It was ridic. I love books but I especially love children's books. I can't wait to start reading chapter books with Isaiah this summer!

HaHa - these are all so awesome! I remember reading Charlotte's Web every single year in school. Hated that so much. And Where the wild things are is still a favorite book of mine. My silly mother decided that she didn't want to store any of my old things and sold all of my old books in a garage sale a few years ago and I'm still upset about it. She sold them all for a quarter each. ARGH - these books are worth so much more in my mind (especially the orginals) :)

THE BOXCAR CHILDREN!? I had forgotten about that book until this very moment. Oh, childhood...

I too have always been a huge reader, but adulthood and college put that to a sudden halt. I can't wait to graduate and enjoy some summer reading in a few weeks! Finger crossed that it actually happens :)

Children's books are so fun! Oooh I had also totally forgotten about the Boxcar Children books. Good times!

Now I kind of want to read the books on your list that I haven't read yet -- Chicka Chicka Boom Boom and The Giving Tree ... and omg, can you believe I missed out on "Where the wild things are"?! I feel like I'm too old to really "get it" now. How sad!

I love your list!

I was also a big reader when I was younger but that's declined in a huge way...sad!
